If arginine and phosphorus are radioactive, why wouldn't proteins including the radioactive amino acid, arginine, be radioactive as arginine is not required to make proteins? DNA and RNA both contain phosphorous in their phosphate groups, so why isn't the solution C

Reply: because the while the arginine is present it is not radioactively labelled, meaning that the labelled products are phospholipids, Dna, and rna, thus d is the only answer that is correct.
